Research Grant Program
The Iranian Association of Gastroenterology and Hepatology is pleased to announce its Research Grant Program, which aims to support high-quality research projects in the field of gastroenterology and hepatology and to promote scientific research and innovation.
About the Grant
The Research Grant Program provides financial support for eligible research projects that address important scientific and clinical questions in gastroenterology and hepatology.
The program is intended to encourage researchers to develop innovative, evidence-based projects and contribute to the advancement of knowledge and patient care.
Research Priorities
Applications are particularly encouraged in the following areas:
- Gastroenterology
- Hepatology
- Endoscopy
- Gastrointestinal diseases
- Liver diseases
- Digestive system disorders
- Clinical and translational research
- Other relevant areas of gastroenterology and hepatology
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Applicants must be specialists in gastroenterology and hepatology.
- Applicants must be members of the Association.
- The proposed research must be related to gastroenterology or hepatology.
- Applicants must meet the required academic and research qualifications.

- Grant Amount: 100 Million IRR
- Grant Duration: 12 Months
- Number of Grants: 5
- Application Opening Date: August 25, 2026
- Application Deadline: September 25, 2026
- Announcement of Results: October 25, 2027

Commitment form to be completed and signed by researchers receiving a Research Grant.
Research Grant Agreement
Form 5 – Research Grant Agreement
Official agreement governing the terms and conditions of the Research Grant between the granting organization and the grant recipient.
Evaluation Process
All submitted applications will be reviewed by the designated scientific committee based on predefined evaluation criteria, including:
- Scientific significance
- Originality and innovation
- Methodological quality
- Feasibility
- Potential impact
- Qualifications and experience of the research team
- Appropriateness of the proposed budget
